Privacy policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

Ibid is a team workspace for chat, email, docs and tasks. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it deleted. Questions go to shaurya@getibid.com.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the website that referred you (its host name only) and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use to stop abuse. We use your email to tell you about your place on the list and to send your invite. We never sell it.

Using the app

Scout and AI processing

When you ask Scout something or use an AI feature, the relevant content is sent to the AI model providers we use (OpenAI, and models reached through OpenRouter) to produce the answer. We don’t use your content to train models of our own.

Google user data

Ibid’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to provide the features you see in Ibid, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

Who processes data for us

Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (this website), Resend (email we send you), Apple (TestFlight and push notifications), E2B (sandboxes for coding tasks you start), context.dev (public web lookups Scout makes) and the AI model providers named above. Each handles data only to provide its service to us.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is open. Usage events are deleted after about 13 months. To delete your account, your workspace data or your waitlist entry, email shaurya@getibid.com from the address in question and we’ll do it within 30 days.

Changes

Ibid is in private beta and this policy will change as the product does. We’ll update the date above and tell active users about material changes by email.
